Q. What is the purpose of the Foundation?

A. We all know the constant financial stresses that educators must deal with and the frustration of knowing that “things could be much better” with additional funding. The Foundation intends to help “fill the financial gap” for Shakerag by soliciting the public and business community for tax-exempt donations.

Q. What are the goals?

A. Funds received will be targeted toward teacher and classroom productivity, technology additions and upgrades, improved maintenance of indoor and outdoor areas, improved or new recreational facilities, and other needs that will surface in the future. Since 2004, our Foundation has raised funds to support many initiatives; including teacher reimbursements for out-of-pocket expenses, facility enhancements, and the purchase of new technology equipment and upgrades. 

Q. How will we raise funds?

A. The Foundation has held several fundraising events including Fun Runs, Faculty Games, and Golf Tournaments. Events are determined each year by the Foundation members. You don’t have to wait for an event to make a donation to our school. We accept donations of any denomination. Q. What makes your partner program different?

A. Our partners are provided with various marketing opportunities ("rewards"), depending upon their level of commitment. By posting your name in our newsletter, website, and actively acknowledging a sponsors donations to our families, we are helping you (through name recognition) reach over 600 families. Through our Business Partner program, we are able to create a partnership that lasts throughout the school year by helping the sponsor to pre-plan their sponsorship and earmarking services and funds to various PTA and school-related events and activities.
